"Our son learned all the things you want your child to – be compassionate, have a big heart, love God, and get an education. He showed us parents how to be adults and deal with a bad situation and make lemonade out of lemons. Even though his dream of basketball was gone, he knew in his heart that God wanted him to get a Christian education and he walked with God and got it done and showed mom and dad how to be strong in faith, listen to God, and to thank God for all that you have. Through it all he had Job like faith, never complained, stood with God, and was happy with life. He let God make Heartland Lutheran all it could be for him and was and still is very thankful for his four years at Heartland Lutheran High School. "
